AI for Educator

Overview

This comprehensive module equips educators with practical knowledge and skills to leverage AI chatbots, particularly POE (Poe), in educational settings. It covers an introduction to POE and its features, exploration of basic chatbot functionalities, advanced techniques like knowledge-based prompts and Zero Shot Chain of Thought, practical applications in education such as creating presentation scripts and generating workplans, and hands-on bot creation. The course aims to enhance educators’ digital literacy, enabling them to integrate AI tools effectively into their teaching practices, streamline administrative tasks, and create more engaging and personalized learning experiences for students.

Objective

By the end of this course, participant should:

1. Utilize POE’s AI chatbot features for educational purposes: Educators will learn to navigate and leverage various AI models available on POE, understanding their unique capabilities and applications in teaching and learning contexts.
   
2. Implement advanced chatbot techniques in lesson planning and delivery: Participants will master techniques such as knowledge-based prompting, direct instruction, Zero Shot Chain of Thought (COT), and role-playing prompts to enhance their teaching methodologies and student engagement.
   
3. Develop AI-assisted educational tools and resources: Educators will gain practical skills in using AI chatbots for creating presentation scripts, summarizing documents, generating workplans for group assignments, developing self-study materials using the SIM format, and providing assignment assistance, thereby enhancing their teaching efficiency and effectiveness.
